After the Aragonese conquest of these lands in the Middle Ages, was called the people of Moorish culture and Muslim religion remained retaining their custom.

The result of this coexistence between peoples and cultures emerged an original artistic style Daroca own account in any of its oldest buildings.

Thus, between the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries, the Christian architecture but heir of Hispano-Muslim art emerged as the main reference for the construction of churches Daroca and its region.

One of the most striking features of this style is the spectacular geometric decoration based on projecting bricks. These works, along with the rest of the Mudejar of Aragon, received the declaration of World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
