It lies at the foot of the hill of San Quílez, atop which stands a Peirón dedicated to this saint.
Balconchán before Valconchán, is very close to the wilderness of the Aldehuela.

The pequeñay modest parish church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary and preserves an important Renaissance altarpiece, with wood carvings Guard Julian and paintings by Juan de Vera, both from Daroca workshops. It also keeps custody of the fifteenth century, punch in the same city. The festivities in honor of the Virgen del Rosario and S. roque held on 15 and 16 August.

Under the patronage of the Virgin of Santa Barbara there is also a chapel in the town situated on a hill next to important fourteenth-century wall paintings. The festivals are held in his honor with chocolate and sharing snacks and wine.

Another festival importhant is San Pascual Baylon, the third Sunday in May. The day after the banding of bells, goes in procession to the saint dedicated Peirón which makes it "dance."
