Retascon

Its urban accommodates uneven ground which has a peculiar arrangement of buildings with the footprint of a Muslim past.

Almost at its center is the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin, Baroque, to the materials they used an earlier church Mudejar style. Save important Gothic and Renaissance altarpieces from the old church. Among them is one dated around 1425. It shows a beautiful image of the Virgin with the child as the central figure.

Around it there are another 12 scenes from his life. Is attributed to the collaboration of two artists of the region: the Master of Langa and Retascón Master, named for having left his best known works in both populations.
In the municipality there is also a chapel dedicated to St. Kitts andone Peirón with four niches with images of St. Bartholomew, San Blas, San Cristobal and Santa Barbara, patron of the four festivals in the village.
