Villarreal de Huerva

Just off the highway Mudéjar (A-23), past the Port of Paniza in Teruel addresses.

Villarreal hamlet of the parish church of San Miguel Archangel, XVII century on the ruins of an earlier church that belongs to your XV century Moorish tower, declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) . The tower, watchtower type, was part of a fortification which still remains of walls and towers.

The interior is decorated with sgraffito interesting leaves and stems of white on black. There also remains a valuable Gothic carving of a virgin that could come from the old church.
Nearby there are other items of interest as a Peirón located in the old Camino Real, Almada Bridge of Roman origin and several sites celtíberos and Muslims.
La Ermita de la Virgen del Rosario, object of devotion of the residents, is a neoclassical building that goes on pilgrimage several times a year. Nestled in the Sierra del Peco, controls a beautiful view of the river valley The Huerva.
